Providing Tactical Lighting for Police Officers

If you’ve seen our crew out-and-about at tradeshows, range days, or other industry events, chances are you’ve met our LE guy, Ray Wichus.

Ray currently works as Law Enforcement Sales Rep for First-Light USA and works private security detail for Ameren Illinois. He also spends time as an evaluator and role player at the Macon County Law Enforcement Training Center (MCLETC) in Decatur, IL.

Prior to his time at First-Light, Ray spent nearly 3 decades as a Conservation Police Officer with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, working on patrol, as a firearm trainer, a fitness monitor officer, and a SONAR operator & trainer. He also served as Region 3 Public Information Officer and worked in the Reptile Undercover Unit.

In his free time, Ray enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters and collecting LE patches and coins. Ray was a standout high school athlete at Covington Indiana High School and played collegiate baseball and football at Carthage College in Kenosha Wisconsin. His lifelong love of sports has led him to coaching high school baseball, softball, and wrestling, and serving as the color radio broadcaster at WECZ/WHOW Radio for local football and basketball games.

If you have any questions about our tactical lights for law enforcement or want to swap some patches, contact Ray today. He’s a wealth of knowledge about our tactical lighting solutions and how they can fit into an Officer’s everyday routine.
